Maxwell Flash Drive

The Maxwell flash drive contains a large amount of research on the descendants of John McDowell Maxwell (1788 – 1859) assembled by descendant Roger Avery Stubbs (RAS). The cost is $15 if you pick it up at the reunion and $20 if you would like it to be mailed to you.  See the registration form for reserving a flash drive.

The flash drive includes:

1. The “Maxwell” Book by RAS

2. “Turnhams in Amercia” by RAS – Emily Maxwell married Edwin Turnham. The book also includes ancestral information for Edwin Turnham

3. “Milton Aurelius and Elizabeth Turnham Stubbs” 1976 by RAS

4. “Minnesota Memories” of Roger and Ellen Stubbs 1959 by RAS

5. Western Hennepin County Pioneer Association archives file on the Maxwell family

6. WHCPA archives file on the Turnham family

7. Western Hennepin County Pioneer Association overflow file on Maxwell family this includes hundreds of pages of raw research information, including correspondence, official records, etc. assembled by RAS and used in preparation of the Maxwell book. The correspondence includes research made by many other Maxwell descendants and shared with RAS including sub files:

Most of this material consists of pages photographed by a computer camera. The WHCPA Maxwell and Turnham files were scanned on a flatbed scanner. The scanned pages also include metadata added to aid in computer photo program searching.

The WHCPA operates a physical museum of pioneer artifacts and family history files of local families. RAS was instrumental in the formation of the museum and the vast local family archive collection.
